How Nodle Accelerates Revenues on 5G Networks
A Solution to Scale and Monetize the 5G Networking Stack
Unlocking the deployment of 5G base stations
5G millimeter wave, which is an absolute game-changer, requires an order of magnitude more base stations to deliver on its promise of low latency and high bandwidth capacity. In the US alone it means growing from 200,000 cellular base stations to 2 million cellular base stations. It represents a huge investment from telcos in their infrastructure.
Nodle scales networks using software and through a Proof of Connectivity™ algorithm. This Proof of Connectivity algorithm is based on the number of base stations, network bandwidth, and geographic coverage.
Via the addition of software running on wireless devices such as fixed 5G base stations, Nodle brings together:
- Network Contributors, who create the supply by purchasing base stations,
- and Network Subscribers, who create the demand, to create an economy of connectivity
Network Contributors can be individuals willing to invest and build 5G coverage at home or in their home town and universities or enterprises willing to improve networking capacity within their campus, offices, or job sites.
Network Contributors are rewarded in Nodle Cash (comparable to any telecom credits) for their participation in the Nodle Network through the Proof of Connectivity™ algorithm. Nodle Cash is intended to incentivize Network Contributors to create network coverage for Network Subscribers. This new viable economic model solves the “chicken and egg” paradox:
There cannot be Network Subscribers without a 5G Network, and Network Contributors do not want to contribute to the 5G Network without revenues from day one.
This model can work to scale any wireless infrastructure independently from its wireless standard. What it enables is even more powerful as once deployed many services can be built on top of the Network and Platform.
A 5G Operating System is needed to enable new revenue streams from Enterprise Applications
“There are a Trillion isolated devices just waiting to become network nodes. We need a Simple Architecture and Operating System to unlock a multitude of Enterprise Applications on 5G Networks.”
— Ed Barker, Former GSMA Head of Strategy and Innovation
The traditional model of revenues where users pay for access has to evolve. Operational margins on the consumer market are eroding and telcos have to shift their focus towards Enterprise Applications to maintain and grow their revenues.
Nodle, whose core business is to build an IoT Connectivity Network and Platform to go after the $1.1 Trillion IoT platform market, as highlighted by data from GSMA Intelligence, thinks it has all the components to help telcos in this transition.
Stitching together a whole software stack for the new generation of services to be built, Nodle solves most of the challenges the industry is facing to deploy a 5G experience at scale and enable a multitude of applications to be built.
The Proof of Connectivity algorithm helps to grow density and coverage, while the Nodle Chain enables billions of micro-transactions to happen securely within IoT devices. The growing need for Privacy as the number of connected things increases is handled using the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Smart Contracts that control who can access or receive data and information.
This model of decentralization reinforces the trustless environment making it harder for bad actors to break into the system while enabling new devices to join and grow the network seamlessly.
